April's Poetic Words
Living in fear
Of disappointing
The ones that mean
The most.......
Afraid that each decision
Will only
define me in stone
Not allowing
To be seen for who I am
Trying to step out
Of the shadows of past
Mistakes
Wanting be seen in the light
ALL of me
Not just my weaknesses
Most of life this has been
My world....
Always feeling
Unheard, Unseen
Always left to feel
My feelings and my emotions
Un validated
As if I am wrong
Or broken
For feeling them
Like it was forbidden
To have my heart broken
My feelings hurt
My ideas, explored
And celebrated
Most days I felt
Ridaqued
For my emotions.
Every day
Trying to fight
A never-ending
Battle
Trying to make them
Understand
To for one second
See with my eyes
And feel with my heart
A battle I am to
Tired to fight any longer
I surrender
The view in there eyes
Will never change
And my light will only
Shine inside my heart
My sole kind and giving
Be unappreciated
My talents and strengths
Invisible.......
